1 Corinthians 6:20

Therefore honor God with your body.

Reading that line alone is direction from God in his own words. He is asking you to use your body in a way that is pleasing to him, honor him, in a manner he had in his plan.

Today the world has thrust sex in the forefront of every aspect of our lives, to sell clothes all the way to selling pet food!  Is sex a bad thing.... absolutley not! It is considered a gift from God. It is very much in the plan of God to be  enjoyed by a man and a woman.  Husband and wife.

So what is the big deal? There are some things that are one time only in life and the loss of your virginity is one of them. This is also a gift that you can give to only one person in your lifetime and it was meant to be given to the one you plan to spend the rest of your life with. Each and everytime you enjoy that person you have the peace, the satisfaction, the gift of knowing it is you and only you that have shared the gift God gave the both of you.

Pressure this day and time leads you to believe everyone is engaging in premarital sex. Not everybody, but it has become almost like a recreation with no emotional ties. It will be hard, but dare to be the one that saves one of Gods greatest gifts for you spouse. It will be not only a gift to him or her, it will be a gift to you and most assuredly a true gift to God. Pressure to go along with the crowd will not be anything you will be proud of in your later life, but being the one that honored one‘s self and God will give you peace for a lifetime.

We are human, by the name alone it means we are not without fault or sin. You may have already used your body in a way that did not honor God or yourself. It is never to late, remember the robbers were saved on the cross. That is about as late as you can get. Talk to God, let him know you want to honor him and you have already gone against his plan, (he knows already) and rededicate yourself to saving yourself. You will appreciate it, your spouse will appreciate it, and more than anything God will appreciate it.
